Our Approach to AI: It Expands the Possibilities. People Make the Decisions.

19th July 2026

Do you use AI?

It is a fair question, and one that more clients are starting to ask.

Yes. Every day.

We use it to explore design ideas, develop website content, carry out research and solve problems faster. We are not going to hide that, and we do not believe it makes our work any less valuable. What matters is how AI is used and who remains responsible for the result. This article explains both.

The question behind the question

When someone asks about AI, there is usually a second question sitting behind the first one. If AI is involved, what are you actually paying us to do?

It deserves a straight answer.

The value of a good web design agency was never really in producing a first draft. It was always in everything around it: understanding your business, knowing which ideas suit it, spotting what is generic, deciding what gets rejected, designing the final version properly, building it well, checking everything, and standing behind the result after launch.

AI has made first drafts quick and cheap. It has not replaced any of the rest. If anything, it has made the rest more important, because when anyone can generate something that looks finished, the difference between businesses comes down to the quality of the thinking behind what actually gets published. It is also why so many unedited AI websites end up looking alike, something we wrote about in Why So Many New Websites Look Exactly the Same.

What we use AI for

Every project still starts the same way it always has: with us learning about your business, your customers, your services and what the website needs to achieve. No tool does that part. We do.

Once we understand the business, AI helps us explore. It lets us compare far more creative directions than would have been practical a few years ago, test different ways of presenting your services, and develop and refine written content. It also speeds up plenty of repetitive work behind the scenes, which is time better spent on your project than on admin.

Here is the part that surprises people: the time AI saves does not shorten the design process. It gets reinvested into it. Instead of exploring two or three directions for a homepage, we can explore many, discard the weak ones early, and spend more time refining the strongest. AI does not let us skip the process. It lets us do more of it.

What we never let AI do

The easiest way to explain our approach is to list the things AI is not allowed to do at Get Noticed Locally.

  • It never decides which direction is right for your business. Our designers do, based on what we have learned about you.
  • It never produces the finished design. Every final design is created by a person in Figma.
  • It never builds or delivers your website. Our team builds every site in WordPress and refines it across desktop, tablet and mobile.
  • It never publishes a word nobody has read. Everything is checked by a person before it goes anywhere near your website.
  • It never deals with you. When you phone or email us, you get a person who knows your project.
  • It never carries the responsibility. That stays with us, always.

Everything AI produces for us is treated as raw material. It is useful, often impressive, and sometimes confidently wrong: it can make something look finished before anyone has asked whether it is right. That is exactly why a person reviews all of it.

Our test for generic work is simple. Could the same design or wording be handed to one of your competitors without making any real difference? If the answer is yes, the work is not finished.

Our commitments to you

Being open about using AI means being clear about the practical side too, so here are the three things clients most want to know.

  • Your business information is treated with care. We are careful and deliberate about what goes into AI tools, and genuinely sensitive details such as passwords and account information are kept out of them altogether.
  • Your content is yours, and a person has checked it. Anything published on your website has been written or reviewed by someone at Get Noticed Locally. It is checked for accuracy, and it is written about your business rather than recycled from generic filler that could describe anyone in your industry.
  • Ask us anything, anytime. If you would like to know how AI was used on your project, just ask. You will get a plain answer, because there is nothing here we would be uncomfortable explaining.

Where we stand

The tools will keep improving, and we will keep using the best of them. Our position will not move: AI expands the possibilities, and people make the decisions.

Whatever tools we use, a person you can actually phone remains responsible for your website.

If you are thinking about a new website and would like to talk it through with one of those people, get in touch or read more about how we work.
