Vox Box

Hull Web Design Project: Based on Newland Avenue, Vox Box is Hull’s first private karaoke room venue. Vox Box boasts six private karaoke rooms that can cater for a variety of group sizes and up to 88 people in a single session, each one with modern, easy to use karaoke software via a dedicated iPad.

Vox Box had already had their branding created when they contacted us to build their website, and therefore we incorporated their existing logo and colour scheme into the new website we designed for them. We combined these with stock images from the massive stock image library we have access to (at no additional charge to our customers) to create a modern layout that looks attractive and is easy for visitors to navigate.

As Vox Box is a first of its kind bar in Hull, it was important that the website clearly explains the concept to visitors on the website and highlights that this is not an ordinary karaoke bar. The homepage uses a good balance of icons, images and text to explain the concept without overwhelming the visitor with information. There are various “More Info” buttons down the homepage, so should a visitor wish to find out more information about a specific aspect of Vox Box they can do so.

The main purpose of the website is to generate bookings for Vox Box and therefore we made sure to include numerous “Book Now” buttons across the website including in a prominent position in the main navigation. These buttons link to the Book Now page of the website which includes a simple booking form that we have embedded from Vox Box’s external booking software. The website also features a contact form on every page so that a visitor can easily make an enquiry.

As with all the websites we build, we made sure that the Vox Box website was fully search engine optimised so that it ranks well for their most important search terms including “private karaoke hull” and “karaoke bar hull”. Within a couple of weeks of launching the new website, it was ranking on page 1 of Google for these search terms, and is continuing to climb higher for those and other similar search terms.
