
Hull Web Design & SEO Project:Pure Facilities are a Hull and East Yorkshire based commercial HVAC company supporting businesses across most of the UK with air conditioning, refrigeration and heat pump solutions. They came to us because their existing website no longer reflected the standard of work they deliver day-to-day, and they wanted a more professional online presence with a modern, visually pleasing design that would help generate consistent new enquiries.
From the outset, the website’s job was clear: turn visitors into leads. We structured the user journey around quick trust-building and simple conversion points, making it easy for businesses looking for HVAC upgrades, repairs or ongoing maintenance to understand what Pure Facilities offer and take the next step. The primary call to action is focused around “Get a Quote”, with the site guiding users towards making contact at key decision points throughout the browsing experience.
Design-wise, we built a clean, confident look using a strong engineering-style colour palette: a bold blue paired with deep charcoal tones, balanced with plenty of white space and soft light grey sections to keep everything easy to read. Typography is a crisp, modern sans-serif style, with bold headings for clarity and hierarchy, and a lighter, highly legible body type for longer content. Subtle animations add polish without distracting from the message, helping key elements feel responsive and contemporary as users move through the site.
To reinforce credibility, we made sure trust signals are highly visible throughout. Accreditations are given prominence so visitors can quickly see that Pure Facilities meet the standards expected for commercial work, and the website includes a reviews slider that highlights the quality of their service in customers’ own words. We also introduced a branded background effect using an icon taken from the existing logo, adding a distinctive layer of brand personality while keeping the overall layout professional and uncluttered. All imagery across the site was supplied by the client, which helps keep the website authentic and rooted in real projects rather than generic stock photography.
Under the bonnet, we implemented a strong SEO foundation alongside the new design. Headings and page structure were built around keyword intent, ensuring each key service has a clear, dedicated page that targets the terms customers actually search for. We also created location-led targeting through service area pages and a wider coverage page, supporting stronger visibility across the regions they operate in. Performance and speed improvements were tackled as part of the build, and important imagery was handled with considered alt text to improve accessibility and add further on-page relevance.
Even though the website has only been live a couple of months, the early signs have been very positive, with improved rankings and noticeably stronger search visibility. That combination of clearer service targeting, better site structure and a faster, more modern platform has helped Pure Facilities strengthen their online presence quickly after launch.
The finished website is built on WordPress (CMS), giving the team an easy way to keep pages and posts up to date, and it’s fully mobile responsive so prospects can browse and enquire just as easily on a phone as they can on a desktop. We also added a blog to support ongoing content and SEO growth, a mega menu to help users find key service areas quickly, and a Google reviews feed to further strengthen trust for first-time visitors.
SEO Improvements since launch
Since launch, keyword performance has moved in the right direction across the board. We are currently tracking 268 keywords for Pure Facilities, with 116 keywords moving up into the top 20 Google search results. Crucially, visibility at the top end is already building, with 44 keywords ranking in positions 1–3, and a further 40 keywords sitting in positions 4–10 (page one). There are also 33 keywords in positions 11–20, showing a healthy pipeline of terms that are close to breaking into the top results with continued momentum.
