Hull Web Design Project: Phil Took Design Flooring supply and install luxury LVT Flooring in Hull & East Yorkshire. They fit flooring from the biggest and best brands including Karndean, Amtico, Polyflor Camaro and many more.
Before starting the website we undertook some keyword research to find out the relevant keyword phrases people search for on Google. We found that as well as searching for the flooring type (Luxury Vinyl Flooring) people were also searching by brand (such as Karndean Flooring, Amtico Flooring and Camaro Flooring etc) and also by room (bathroom flooring, kitchen flooring etc). We therefore structured the website to have separate pages for all these different flooring brands/rooms and this means we were able to fully optimise each page for that specific keyword.
We designed a modern website for Phil Took Design Flooring incorporating their existing logo and colours of green & dark grey. The website uses a mix of Phil’s images as well as some stock images for the wide background images. The website is mobile-friendly which means it looks great on all devices including mobiles and tablets.
The home page of the website has a “Latest Work” section which automatically pulls the images from the Phil Took Design Flooring Instagram page. Phil regularly updates his Instagram with images of work he has completed and these images are automatically displayed on the website.
The website features good calls to action, the main one being “Get a Quote”. The “Get a Quote” page features a simple contact form which the visitor can fill in to request their free, no-obligation quote. The completed contact form is emailed directly to Phil so he can respond to it.
After launching the website it was quickly indexed by Google and started climbing up their search rankings. Today, the website performs very well on Google and is the #1 results for many of the businesses search terms including “lvt flooring hull” “karndean flooring hull” and “amtico flooring hull”. As a result, the website generates a lot of traffic from people searching on Google and receive regular enquiries from potential customers. Phil Took Design Flooring have experienced a massive growth in their business since launching the website in May 2020.
