Danby's Precision Engineering

Hull Web Design & SEO Project: Danby's Precision Engineering, a family-run precision engineering specialist based in Beverley, East Yorkshire, came to Get Noticed Locally seeking a modern, highly functional website that would improve Google rankings and, most importantly, generate more quote enquiries. Serving clients across the UK and internationally, Danby's wanted a site that reflected their technical expertise and speedy turnaround, while making it simple for procurement managers, design engineers and manufacturers to request a quote.

We built a clean, modern WordPress/CMS website that is fully mobile responsive so customers can browse and request quotes from any device. The client supplied their existing logo plus the majority of photos and video (we used a few supporting stock images from iStock). The visual palette uses a bright sky-blue accent together with very dark charcoal for strong contrast, set against very pale blue-grey and white backgrounds for clarity and readability. Headlines use a bold, geometric sans-serif title font and the body text uses a clean modern sans-serif for easy scanning and a professional tone.

Functionality was designed to convert visitors into leads: prominent calls to action such as "Request Quote" and "Get a Quote"; a dedicated quote form for quick enquiries; an embedded company video for instant credibility; a gallery with lightbox-style viewing; interactive hover animations to add polish; and an automatic services slider to showcase Danby's capabilities at a glance. On the technical side we carried out industry keyword research and competitor analysis, implemented custom meta titles and descriptions, optimised heading structure across pages, and tested the site in Google Search Console and PageSpeed Insights to ensure performance best practice.

The finished site presents Danby's technical capabilities clearly and drives measurable results: Danby's now ranks number one for "precision engineering" in Hull and in East Yorkshire. Visitors can easily understand the breadth of services on offer (from CNC milling and turning to anodising and chemical blacking), view project imagery, watch the company video and request a quote, which speeds up the sales process and supports Danby's ongoing growth.
